Requirements

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics
  • 1+ years of experience in interdisciplinary engineering, focused on the development of sensing technologies through systems engineering methodologies and Sensor Fusion algorithms
  • 2+ years of expertise in Python or C++ to build scalable solutions, utilizing GitHub for collaborative development and maintaining robust CI/CD workflows to ensure seamless code deployment
  • 3+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in short range and long-range wireless technologies or developing and implementing camera software and hardware solutions
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in developing signal processing, connected vehicle data analysis, or computer vision solutions
  • 1+ years of product development and system integration
  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics (even better)
  • Experience with designing and testing internal sensor hardware and software components such as camera components or short range wireless sensing and communication technologies (even better)
  • Experience with pairing sensors with embedded or low-power compute hardware such as SOCs or FPGAs (even better)
  • Experience in AI/ML techniques for object detection and tracking, scene understating, multi-modal perception, and sensor fusion (even better)
  • Experience using PyTorch for developing AI/ML models, Machine Learning Workflows, GitHub Actions or Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD (even better)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, innovative thinking, and ability to identify, propose and lead new research projects that have a clear near or far value add (even better)
  • Passionate about staying abreast of large-scale challenges and disruptive changes in sensing technologies and their real time realizations for quickly establishing applicability to Ford engineering problems to create/contribute to the Ford’s strategic and leadership vision (even better).
