About the role

  • Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications, including implementing new features and optimizing existing codebases.
  • Manage and optimize the PostgreSQL database, including data modeling, performance monitoring and tuning, and database migrations.
  • Participate in DevOps tasks, including deploying application releases, developing and maintaining microservices in Kubernetes, and performing database migrations.
  • Develop and integrate interfaces to external POS and ERP systems to optimize data exchange and system communication.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • Solid experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.
  • Solid knowledge of Test-Driven Development.
  • Experience with development in the AWS environment (e.g., RDS) is a plus.
  • Independent, analytical, structured, and meticulous working style.
  • Strong service and customer orientation.
  • Team player and able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent German (at least C1 level) and English (at least B2 level) skills, both written and spoken.
