About the role
- Play a critical role in managing and overseeing the month-end close process.
- Oversee preparation of annual audit schedules to support an efficient and well-organized audit.
- Lead and develop team members within Collection Site Payables, providing coaching, performance feedback, and day-to-day guidance to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistent execution.
- Manage tax responsibilities, including sales tax and partnership/LLC filings.
- Strengthen internal controls and compliance, ensuring adherence to GAAP, internal accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a systems and data power user, partnering with Technology and Operations to enhance financial systems, automate workflows, and apply AI tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Be a strategic business partner to select Foley executives and teams, supporting financial operations, analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Analyze complex, high-volume data to support reporting, month-end insights, and ongoing operational needs.
- Identify and mitigate accounting risks, including data integrity issues, compliance gaps, and process weaknesses.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, SOPs, and process documentation to support consistency and scalability.
- Drive process improvements, simplification, and efficiency across a high-volume, complex environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required, including familiarity with ASC 606.
- Experienced in high-volume complex B2B SaaS or similarly complex accounting environments, with a strong command of detailed transactional work and large data sets.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing an accounting team.
- AI-forward, with experience using AI or automation tools to enhance accounting accuracy, insights, or efficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience a plus.
- Comfortable working with complex systems; Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and risk identification.
- Collaborative and analytical, with demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally.
- Curious, detail-oriented, adaptable, and motivated by continuous process improvement.
