About the role

  • Lead or support special projects such as mergers and acquisitions and system implementations
  • Lead or support the implementation of new accounting standards
  • Plan, manage, and supervise technical accounting projects
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans
  • Ensure relevant teams are trained and updated on new policies
  • Train finance business partners, FP&A, and accounting teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical accounting guidance
  • Support the preparation and filing of SEC financial reports
  • Support the Internal Controls team with designing SOX controls
  • Facilitate effective communication between external auditors
  • Assist Head of US Reporting and Head of US Technical Accounting

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with 7+ years post-qualification experience
  • Strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Thorough knowledge of current SEC reporting rules and regulations
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working through ambiguity
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Experience working within a SOX control environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management or similar
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic PLC environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
