About the role

  • Define and continuously refine a cohesive enterprise security architecture that supports Flutter’s federated model, aligns with business goals and cyber risk priorities.
  • Champion the design and rollout of Zero Trust architecture across identity, network, application, and data layers.
  • Define Zero Trust principles, policies, and controls; create road‑maps and implementation plans.
  • Facilitate collaboration among brand security teams, leading security focussed working groups where needed.
  • Stay current on emerging security technologies, industry best practices and threat trends.
  • Evaluate new tools or features and, where beneficial, incorporate them into the strategy.
  • Continuously assess the security program’s maturity across business units and implement improvements to process or technology to elevate weaker areas.
  • Oversee group wide security project execution. Manage relationships with relevant product vendors and service providers (remaining vendor neutral).

Requirements

  • 10 + years of experience in Cybersecurity with at least 5 years in Security Architecture.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions in large, complex environments – such as leading a full Zero Trust deployment or managing Security Architecture governance across multiple business units.
  • Broad experience in Cybersecurity and Enterprise Infrastructure, with exposure to integrating security controls with a variety of other systems.
  • Experience working in or with regulated industries or large enterprises is highly desirable.
  • Mergers and acquisitions integration experience is a plus.
  • Deep expertise in Zero Trust architecture, cloud security frameworks (CSPM, CASB, SASE), and regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI‑DSS, GDPR, SOX, gaming regulations).
  • Scripting or programming skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation in workflows are advantageous.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA or vendor‑specific security certifications are highly valued.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language.
