About the role

  • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and general service activities for Flowserve and competitor equipment at customer sites
  • Interface directly with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers supporting critical service work
  • Respond to technical information requests and redirect inquiries to internal experts as needed
  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs of pumps (mechatronic products) both in the field and in the workshop
  • Perform troubleshooting, fault analysis, and equipment assessments
  • Carry out mechanical assembly work at customer sites and within the Flowserve QRC workshop when required
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards in all service tasks
  • Adapt, modify, and optimize system components, hardware, and software parameters according to customer specifications
  • Monitor repair quality, conduct testing procedures, analyze defects, and contribute to preventive quality improvements

Requirements

  • Completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification
  • Strong fitting and mechanical skills, with experience in small and modular pumping packages
  • Solid knowledge of pumps and mechanical seals
  • Experience with laser alignment equipment (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in the chemical, power, or oil & gas industries
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel on short notice, work outside normal hours as needed, and spend periods away from home
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and ability to work within customer permit‑to‑work systems
  • Good command of English (oral and written) for reporting and customer communication
  • Proficiency in PC use and standard software applications; SAP R/3 experience is an advantage.
