About the role
- Manage accounting operations for multiple HOA and COA communities
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledgers
- Monitor and manage association budgets and reserves
- Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with Florida HOA/COA financial regulations and best practices
- Work closely with Community Association Managers (CAMs) and board members on financial matters
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for associations
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within HOA/COA or property management
- Strong understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles
- Experience with HOA accounting software (e.g., AppFolio, Vantaca, TOPS) is a plus
- Knowledge of Florida HOA/COA regulations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a hybrid environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and board members
