About the role
- Develop strategies and tactics to drive business origination for the US and Canada
- Lead development of new business opportunities and prospecting market and industry research
- Build and foster relationships with banks and corporates to achieve growth objectives
- Develop in-depth understanding of customer needs and provide strategic financial solutions
- Partner with senior functional and trading stakeholders to develop new high-risk customers
- Apply broad and in-depth understanding of financing structures to develop strategic solutions
- Develop knowledge of customer business strategy and explore new industries related to trade
- Ensure understanding and compliance with special operations group applicable to origination
- Develop and structure highly complex financing origination proposals optimizing value for customer and business
- Develop and foster strategic partner relationships with senior internal management and external stakeholders
- Provide expert thought leadership and direction to supporting team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Broad and in depth understanding of corporate and trade finance
- Expert knowledge of capital markets
- Minimum of six years of related work experience
- Candidate details: 7+ to 10 years experience
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Willingness to Travel - Occasionally
- Commodities experience (Preferred)
- Experience structuring complex origination deals (Preferred)
