About the role

  • As Manager, Commercial Operations / Deal Desk you are the strategic partner for Sales, Customer Success and Finance and report directly to our CFO.
  • You operate at the intersection of Commercial, Legal and Technology and ensure that enterprise deals are closed quickly, cleanly and scalably—backed by experience, sound judgment and consistent use of AI.
  • You don’t just review deals, you shape them. With your mandate you make independent decisions and resolve about 80% of all commercial, legal and data protection issues yourself.
  • You are responsible for structuring and approving Order Forms, NDAs and DPAs. In doing so, you assess commercial, legal and data-protection risks with a business-minded approach and make well-founded, confident decisions within defined boundaries—even when quick clarity is required.
  • You actively drive the development and adoption of internal AI tools to automate recurring questions.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of relevant professional experience in the B2B SaaS environment, e.g. in Deal Desk, Commercial Legal, Sales Operations or Commercial Finance
  • Experience with enterprise customers and an understanding of closing dynamics, escalations and quarter-end processes
  • Degree in business law (LL.B./LL.M.), business administration with a strong legal focus, or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to differentiate between “legally correct” and “commercially sensible” — and to take responsibility for decisions
  • Executive judgement: you make clear decisions and accept responsibility for their consequences
  • You remain calm, structured and clear under time pressure—especially during escalations
  • AI-native mindset: you leverage LLMs, automation and smart workflows as productive scaling levers
  • Business-fluent German and English, spoken and written
