About the role
- You are responsible for structuring, reviewing, and approving Order Forms, NDAs, and DPAs. You assess commercial, legal, and data protection risks from a business perspective and make well-founded, confident decisions within defined frameworks - including situations where fast clarity is required.
- You actively drive the development and use of internal AI tools to automate recurring questions. This includes, among others, security questionnaires as well as standard questions related to contracts, data protection, and IT security. Your goal is to build a scalable, centralized knowledge and decision-making system for commercial deals.
- You serve as the first point of contact for Commercial, Legal, Data Privacy (GDPR), and Information Security topics. You independently resolve standard and recurring issues and selectively involve internal experts or external law firms for more complex matters. In doing so, you create clarity and significantly reduce the load on C-level and operational teams.
- You work closely with the Revenue Operations team to operationalize pricing strategies and deal structures, ensuring commercial guardrails are upheld without slowing down the sales cycle.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience in a B2B SaaS environment, e.g. in Deal Desk, Commercial Legal, Sales Operations, or Commercial Finance
- Experience working with enterprise customers and a solid understanding of closing dynamics, escalations, and quarter-end pressure
- Academic background as a business lawyer (LL.B./LL.M.), a degree in Business Administration with a strong legal focus, or a comparable qualification
- The ability to distinguish between “legally correct” and “commercially sensible” - and to take ownership of decisions
- Executive judgement: you make clear decisions and take responsibility for their consequences
- You remain calm, structured, and focused under pressure - especially in escalations
- AI-native mindset: you use LLMs, automation, and smart workflows as productive scaling levers
- Full professional proficiency in German and English, written and spoken.
