About the role
- Flexi Software provides accounting solutions (cloud and on-premise) for complex accounting needs
- Assist with month-end accounting close process, including journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
- Review accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of open accounts
- Process and pay accounts payable
- Prepare and publish GAAP monthly internal financial statements on a timely basis
- Support month-end and year-end general ledger processes using accounting software
- Assist with annual audit and tax return processes with CPA firm
- Assist with reporting KPIs; manage internal data collection and reporting
- Location: Shelton, CT preferred; remote candidates working Eastern Time hours considered
Requirements
- BS degree in accounting required
- 3-5 total years in accounting (minimum 3 years)
- 1-3 years of experience closing GAAP financial statements
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word
- Ability to work independently with acute attention to details and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to review processes and identify automation and efficiency opportunities
- Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment and display strong teamwork skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Positive background check required
