About the role
- Assist with month-end accounting close process, including journal entries and all monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with reviewing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of all open accounts
- Assist with processing and payment of all accounts payable
- Assist with preparation and publishing of GAAP monthly internal financial statements on a timely basis
- Support month-end and year-end general ledger process using accounting software
- Assist with annual audit and tax return process with CPA firm
- Assist with reporting KPIs; manage internal data collection and reporting
Requirements
- BS degree in accounting required
- Range of 1-3 years of experience closing GAAP financial statements
- 3-5 total years in accounting
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently, with acute attention to details and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to review processes with a critical mind to identify points for automation and efficiency opportunities
- Possess the ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment while displaying strong teamwork skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
