About the role

  • Own the leadership and day-to-day management of the Mumbai analyst team, creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned to BMI/Fitch Solutions values.
  • Establish clear team norms for collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing; run effective stand-ups, one-to-ones, and retrospectives.
  • Build and manage a high performance and highly engaged team, founded in a positive local employee experience.
  • Set and track objectives and KPIs for analysts aligned to team and business goals; conduct regular one-to-ones.
  • Deliver impactful client presentations.
  • Act as primary operational point of contact for internal stakeholders and project sponsors; provide clear status updates, issue management, and expectations setting.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in credit risk analytics, risk advisory, or related consulting roles
  • 2+ years of experience of team leadership including recruitment, coaching, objective setting and performance management
  • Demonstrated team leadership or coaching experience; ability to set goals, give feedback, and manage performance
  • Strong project and delivery management skills: scoping, planning, prioritisation, and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills: clear written outputs, concise updates, excellent client delivery skills, facilitation of meetings and feedback sessions
  • Working knowledge of credit risk concepts and the ability to create new solutions (e.g., counterparty/sovereign/corporate risk, credit models, rating frameworks)
  • Proficiency with MS Office/365; familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Jira/Trello or equivalent), strong command of Python and basic data analysis tools Excel/Power BI.
