Software Engineer

• Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
• Transfer high quality engineered coatings onto parts
• Rotate through multiple process steps in at least one process area, including: washing, masking, pre- & post- grit blasting, filling powder feeders, wire reel replacement, spraying/cladding parts, loading and unloading parts into fixturing, heat treating, part inspection & measurement, packaging, and material handling
• Operate, setup and troubleshoot all equipment within the production cell by following work instructions, inspection procedures, and documentation requirements
• Log time, task completion, and inspection results throughout the day using a computer
• Read setup sheets & basic part engineering drawings, and understand statistical process trends
• Comply with the Fisher Barton Quality System and ISO 9000 requirements
• Maintaining accurate, legible, and complete Quality and Process documentation
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineering & leads/supervisors to continually improve the safety of your work environment, the quality of your products, the efficiency of your processes and your productivity
• Participate in Continuous Improvement teams and training, as they arise
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area

Surface Engineering Technician 1 – 1st Shift

Engineer

• Responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and standards.
• Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls.
• Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or existing products.
• Coordinates between research and development, management, production, technical sales, and quality to meet customer requirements.
• Utilizes CAD system to develop tooling and fixture designs as needed to support production.
• Design and implementation of part holding fixtures and production machine improvements.
• Assist operations in conducting testing, preparing analyses, and identifying key measures and process improvements using plant performance data analysis.
• Partner with plant operations personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions.
• Coach plant personnel on measurements and daily updates of technology performance/asset utilization data.
• Pinpoint efficiencies, create process projects, and execute initiatives to drive efficiencies and repeatable processes in production that are aligned to the business strategies and objectives.
• Provide technical plant support in specialized areas including process simulation, modeling, risk analysis, and process optimization.
• Assist in managing asset utilization and project budgets.
• Provide data to validate that projects deliver performance objectives after implementation.
• Accepts and supports the Thermal Spray Technologies Quality System and Safety protocols.

Manufacturing Engineer

Technician

• Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
• Pull orders, ensure orders have been pulled, staged and repacked in correct quantities and packaging
• Load and unload trucks as required
• Use scanner to ensure all product is placed into correct location and system is updated
• Create and reprint labels
• Process chips from the Machine Shop
• Package and store finished parts
• Build boxes for shipment of product to customers
• Maintain inventory of commonly used containers
• Build custom wood shipping boxes
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of working areas

Shipping and Receiving Technician

General

• Maintain and sharpen die blocks, die components, and tooling used in the production process
• Use manual and CNC equipment and tool room machinery regularly
• Troubleshoot dies and tooling in presses
• Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
• Adjust dies and tooling components
• Maintain production tooling within quality standards
• Communicate effectively with operators, set-up personnel, and supervisors on all three shifts regarding tooling requirements, and die and equipment status
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area
• Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints and safely operate tool room machinery
• Have a positive attitude and ability to work with production personnel in troubleshooting die and suggest modifications to improve performance
