About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and sharpen die blocks, die components, and tooling used in the production process
Use manual and CNC equipment and tool room machinery regularly
Troubleshoot dies and tooling in presses
Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
Adjust dies and tooling components
Maintain production tooling within quality standards
Communicate effectively with operators, set-up personnel, and supervisors on all three shifts regarding tooling requirements, and die and equipment status
Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area
Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints and safely operate tool room machinery
Have a positive attitude and ability to work with production personnel in troubleshooting die and suggest modifications to improve performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Basic Math skills
Basic computer skills
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)
Familiarity with stamping dies of all types (Preferred)
Tool Room Work experience is a plus (Preferred)
