About the role
- Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.
- Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions.
- Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.
- Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards.
- Support cost estimation for materials
- Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, technologies, and advancements in the precast-prestressed field.
- Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
- Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred
- 10 plus years of experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures
- Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO
- Familiarity with IBC codes a plus
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D
