Lead a team of engineers in developing simulation tests to validate the May autonomous driving software's performance and safety
Collaborate with systems, safety, testing, and autonomy engineering teams to ensure simulation coverage of common and rare driving scenarios and ODD elements
Drive traceability between simulations and scenario and ODD database
Analyze simulation results to identify performance trends, uncover potential issues, and provide insights for improvements
Coordinate with Testing and Validation team to ensure simulation results are consistent with real-world testing
Develop methods for evaluating simulation performance against safety performance indicators
Identify and drive improvements to simulation technology and infrastructure
Establish and oversee processes for high-quality simulation development.
Requirements
B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree
5+ year’s experience in automotive testing and 2+ year’s experience creating simulations for autonomous driving software
Coding and/or scripting experience in high level languages (Java / Python)
