About the role

  • The Senior Practice Consultant provides leadership across FIS commercial lending implementations, guiding project teams to deliver on‑time, on‑budget outcomes and high client satisfaction.
  • Oversee successful delivery of the Commercial Lending product suite (CLS, Credit Assessment, and Commercial Loan Origination).
  • Serve as a key leader in driving effective client implementations and building long‑term, referenceable customer relationships.
  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of Professional Services revenue for the assigned portfolio, ensuring high‑quality execution and client satisfaction.
  • Drive financial performance through accurate forecasting and proactive management of gaps between forecast and budget.
  • Build and maintain strong cross‑functional partnerships with Product, Sales, Pre‑Sales, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Establish and sustain trusted client relationships by leading high‑visibility engagements, demonstrating subject‑matter expertise, and deploying and directing qualified delivery teams.
  • Provide executive‑level oversight for large, complex programs, including escalation management, budget governance, risk mitigation, and participation in customer steering committees.
  • Support presale activities by representing Professional Services in client engagements, delivering presentations, developing implementation estimates and project plans, and drafting and negotiating Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability across the Professional Services practice.

Requirements

  • Typically, 10+ years of experience leading large, transformational, client‑facing initiatives within a professional services organization, serving in Senior Manager and/or Project Director roles
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex programs with excellence while motivating and leading high‑performing teams
  • Exceptional communicator, able to convey complex and critical messages clearly and persuasively across all organizational levels
  • Proven experience engaging C‑suite executives and Boards, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and large audiences
  • Deep industry experience in banking and financial services
  • End‑to‑end enterprise software implementation experience, preferably within a software vendor environment
  • Hands‑on, proactive leader skilled at anticipating, managing, and resolving client issues and escalations
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills to drive alignment on recommended approaches and outcomes
  • Willingness to travel 25–50% to support client engagements
