About the role
- Support the company’s mission of providing outstanding service to customers and drivers
- Courteously receive incoming calls from customers and enter orders
- Communicate with dispatch and drivers to ensure maximum customer service
- Correctly capture customer requests in the company’s ERP system
- Learn and maintain high levels of product knowledge
- Develop and maintain professional relations with customers
- Inform customers of items not ordered or out of stock and offer alternatives
- Ensure accuracy of customer information and data entry into ERP
- Partner with Drivers and Outside Sales to meet customer requirements in a timely fashion
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Demonstrated phone-based customer service
- Knowledge of seafood preferred, but not required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated desire to work in an exciting fast-paced environment
- Have highly developed English verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in using personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite, including high internet fluency
- ERP experience a plus
- Any combination of the above criteria will also be considered
