About the role
- Own a software thesis and lead pre-seed deals end-to-end (sourcing, technical diligence, term sheets, post-investment work)
- Scout and invest in pre-seed founders building software infrastructure, developer tooling, and AI infrastructure
- Work directly with portfolio companies on technical roadmaps, hiring, and scaling engineering teams
- Syndicate with co-investors and maintain high-signal relationships across EU/US to unlock follow-on funding and customers
- Collaborate closely with the two founding partners as a full member of the investment team and grow toward partner
- Participate in regular working sessions in Munich, periodic offsites, and spend meaningful time in founder and co-investor ecosystems
- Own outcomes end-to-end, keep peers unblocked, and raise the bar for the group
Requirements
- Experience leading or managing engineering teams and shipping systems at scale, or leading multiple early-stage software deals with post-investment impact
- Built or scaled software at the infrastructure layer and can distinguish demos from scalable systems
- Ability to assess scalability and failure modes with operator clarity
- Embedded in the software community (OSS, technical meetups, angel investing or founder circles)
- Bias toward action, strong communication, and ability to mix focused work with calls, meetings, and events
- Comfortable with travel for founders, co-investors, and regular team on-sites
- Experience hiring teams, making build/buy decisions, and supporting growth to 20+ engineers
- Genuine ambition to operate at the highest level and actively source exceptional opportunities
