• Support the investment team by sourcing promising pre-seed start-ups through various channels.
• Lead initial screening calls with startup founders independently.

VC Investment Intern – 6 months

• Own a software thesis and lead deals end-to-end.
• You’ll team up with the two founding partners as a full member from day one and grow toward a partner role as you compound results.
• You'll join a team of three investment professionals working directly with our two founding partners.
• Our goal is to have you lead investments into software infrastructure, developer tooling, AI infra & similar topics on a short timeline.
• Scout and invest into exceptional pre‑seed founders building software infrastructure, dev‑tools & AI infra - alongside broader exposure to our other core verticals (New Industrials, Energy & Novel Compute).
• Challenge us to higher standards in evaluating what extraordinary software builders look like.
• Work directly with portfolio companies to improve their odds of success. This means sparring with founders on technical roadmaps, helping them build high-performance engineering teams and anticipating the challenges they'll face as they scale to 20+ engineers.
• Syndicate with top co-investors : maintain high-signal relationships with funds and angels across EU/US to unlock follow-on and customers.

Investment Manager / Principal, Software Infra, DevTools, AI

• Support the investment team by sourcing promising pre-seed start-ups through various channels.
• Lead initial screening calls with startup founders independently.
• Take care of incoming start-up applications and establish communication with stakeholders.
• Accompany exciting start-ups through the entire investment process.
• Create deep dives into various topics and present findings to the team.
• Support our investor relations team with inquiries and various projects.
• Assist the Partners in various portfolio support activities.

Chief of Staff

• You'll be the wingman of our partners and sit at the heart of First Momentum’s highest‑leverage projects, raising the next fund, launching spin‑offs, and unblocking portfolio companies while communicating fluently in German and English.
• Unlock our third fund generation: drive the LP pipeline, support building the data room, refine decks and DDQs, and be a pillar of the fund‑structuring team in close collaboration with our Head of Finance and founding partners.
• Run special missions: partner with portfolio companies to accelerate financing rounds, GTM pushes, or key hires, delivering tangible results in weeks, not months.
• Validate and co‑incubate ventures: test new ideas, recruit core teams, and step in as launch co‑founder when conviction is high.
• Coordinate strategic execution: turn whiteboard concepts into work plans, track cross-team OKRs, and keep mission-critical tasks on track, especially for high-priority projects.
• Own stakeholder communication: craft crisp updates, handle inbound requests, and represent First Momentum across Europe’s tech hubs in flawless German and English.
• Sharpen our operating stack: keep the CRM, dashboards, and playbooks humming, so we can move better and faster.

Founders Associate – Special Projects

• Own a software thesis and lead pre-seed deals end-to-end (sourcing, technical diligence, term sheets, post-investment work)
• Scout and invest in pre-seed founders building software infrastructure, developer tooling, and AI infrastructure
• Work directly with portfolio companies on technical roadmaps, hiring, and scaling engineering teams
• Syndicate with co-investors and maintain high-signal relationships across EU/US to unlock follow-on funding and customers
• Collaborate closely with the two founding partners as a full member of the investment team and grow toward partner
• Participate in regular working sessions in Munich, periodic offsites, and spend meaningful time in founder and co-investor ecosystems
• Own outcomes end-to-end, keep peers unblocked, and raise the bar for the group
