About the role

  • Deputise for the Store Manager and assist with day-to-day running of the Leeds store to deliver agreed targets and KPIs
  • Coach and develop the retail team to achieve best-in-class customer service and retail operations
  • Deliver an engaging and experiential customer service and ensure the team educates and guides customers
  • Maintain and deliver product knowledge training across the store team
  • Build community relationships within the store’s local area and seek collaboration opportunities
  • Support implementation of high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
  • Represent Finisterre and champion the brand story and company values through the store team
  • Assist manager with recruiting and onboarding the best team for the brand and store
  • Work with store manager and marketing to deliver successful and engaging store events
  • Share ownership of store performance, communicate targets and plans with the team
  • Review and analyse RCA reports and implement commercial changes to drive sales
  • Support planning and preparation for seasonal or promotional launch activity
  • Communicate with manager and merchandising team to maximise stock opportunities
  • Ensure efficient staffing reflecting trade patterns and productivity/cost considerations
  • Train staff on stock handling processes and ensure accuracy of stock movements
  • Ensure store teams are trained on retail operations and updated on HO changes
  • Assist with managing health & safety, ensuring checklists are completed and store compliant
  • Support team members’ development and adopt Store Manager responsibilities in their absence
  • Maintain relationships with department teams at Wheal Kitty and attend meetings as necessary
  • Deliver against KPIs including annual sales & contribution targets, ATV, conversion and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a team within a premium Apparel brand who share Finisterre’s brand ethos
  • Be commercially aware and possess in depth experience of working towards KPIs
  • Visual merchandising skills
  • Competent with Excel, Word and Office Outlook
  • Motivates and coaches others to be the best they can be
  • Good communicator between management and retail team
  • Passion, energy and aspiration in line with Finisterre products, brand and customer
  • Important: must, by the start of employment, have permission to work in the UK; Finisterre are not licensed to sponsor overseas workers
