About the role
- Own regional revenue targets, margin performance, and cost discipline.
- Develop and execute a structured East Africa growth plan across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
- Build structured relationships with relevant partners.
- Engage proactively with relevant regulators in the region for regulatory approvals, LONOs, and other licences.
- Oversee onboarding quality, success rates, SLA performance, issue resolution escalation.
- Build and manage a high-performance local commercial team.
- Monitor political, liquidity, FX, and mobile money risk trends.
Requirements
- 8+ years in senior leadership, country strategy, or general management roles in fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of East African mobile money infrastructure
- Proven P&L ownership experience
- Deep understanding of regional cross-border trade corridors
- Experience engaging with central banks and regulatory authorities
