Financial Planning and Analysis

• Serve as fractional Client CFO for a portfolio of e-commerce, retail, and CPG clients and brands
• Own FP&A efforts, including budgeting, cash runway, forecasting, and board reporting
• Act as a strategic partner to founders, CEOs, and investors, turning data into business decisions
• Manage banking, credit, investor, and board relationships
• Build and maintain dynamic 1/3/5-year financial models
• Drive rolling forecasts, margin analysis, scenario planning, and demand planning
• Build KPI dashboards and reporting systems for executive teams
• Review reconciliation data with the internal accounting team and ensure reporting integrity
• Advise on fundraising, M&A, debt strategy, and capital allocation
• Support and own credit packs and act as deal-time CFO when needed
• Support board-material preparation and investor communications
• Provide decision frameworks for growth, burn, and tradeoffs
• Templatize, automate, and scale recurring work
• Use AI and automation tools to improve delivery speed and quality
• Document SOPs and drive internal improvements to the client delivery engine

Client CFO – DTC, CPG

• Serve as fractional Client CFO for a concentrated portfolio of 2–3 clients navigating restructuring, turnaround, or special situations
• Own cash management, 13-week cash flow forecasting, and liquidity runway
• Partner with founders, CEOs, boards, and investors
• Manage lender, creditor, landlord, vendor, and investor relationships, including forbearance and workout discussions
• Build cash flow, scenario, downside, KPI, and early-warning models and dashboards
• Lead cost restructuring, working capital optimization, and margin triage
• Ensure reporting integrity with internal accounting
• Advise on out-of-court restructuring, debt renegotiation, bridge financing, and capital triage
• Own creditor packs and lender presentations and act as deal-time CFO for recapitalizations, wind-downs, or distressed M&A
• Support board materials and investor communications
• Create decision frameworks for runway, burn, and existential tradeoffs
• Templatize cash flow models, creditor waterfalls, and scenario trackers
• Use Claude and LLMs to improve speed while maintaining rigor
• Document special situations playbooks and improve delivery under time pressure
• Oversee month-end closing, accounting activities, financial management reports, annual audits, and annual budgets
• Prepare and communicate cash flow projections and cash position to clients

Client CFO – Restructuring & Turnarounds

Account Manager

• Source new client relationships across consumer brands through warm introductions, targeted outbound, and relationship follow-up
• Get qualified founders and CEOs into first conversations with the senior team
• Research target brands and identify growth, capital, liquidity, sponsorship, or leadership signals
• Develop and manage referral relationships with sponsors, lenders, private credit funds, investment banks, brokers, and adjacent service providers
• Track partner-sourced pipeline and formalize new referral channels
• Own the firm’s presence at industry events, conferences, and gatherings
• Plan and run the event calendar, including selection, on-site presence, and follow-up
• Represent FinanceWithin in the market and build durable brand presence
• Support active deals with follow-ups, NDAs, information requests, and data room setup
• Keep the pipeline clean, current, and accurate
• Build templates, cadence, and systems that make origination repeatable
• Use Claude and modern tools to research, prepare, and work faster while maintaining rigor
