Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules
Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP
Mentor and develop accounting team members while fostering collaboration and accountability
Partner cross-functionally with AP, Loan and Digital Assets Accounting, FP&A, and various departments to align accounting and reporting with business goals
Support audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient process
Identify and implement automation and process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
Contribute to special projects that enhance reporting, compliance, and operational excellence
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (mix of public accounting and industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Proven track record managing and mentoring accounting teams in fast-paced environments
Experience improving processes and leveraging automation to streamline operations
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; familiarity with modern ERP systems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearly
Thrives in dynamic environments with evolving processes and competing priorities
Meticulous attention to detail paired with a solutions-oriented mindset
Self-starter comfortable managing multiple priorities and driving results in a dynamic environment
Hands-on experience with financial systems such as Sage Intacct, Netsuite, Brex, and Floqast
