About the role
- Manage a team of Portfolio Managers
- Advise, review, and assist Portfolio Managers in managing clients
- Develop and execute strategies for problem clients
- Implement measurable goals for Portfolio Managers
- Review and approve initial approval of credit requests
- Advise on pricing strategies and overall credit structure to reduce risk
- Provide support to commercial lenders with problem loans
- Review, approve, and present all watch asset reports to the bank watch asset committee
- Develop and maintain internal relationships and act as a senior point of contact
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in finance, accounting or business
- Advanced degree in business or Law would be a plus
- At least 20 years of experience in ABL Portfolio Management and field examination
- Strong understanding of the legal environment underpinning ABL,including but not limited to, knowledge of contract law, the Uniform Commercial Code, and federal bankruptcy laws
- Strong knowledge financial statement analytical and accounting skills are required
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of large syndicated transactions both as an Agent and as a participant
- Must be able to communicate well to employees, clients and to others within the bank
- Knowledge of computers systems including Microsoft Office suite and proprietary software products used in support of the business.
