About the role
- work independently counseling the business regarding expansion of private market service offerings with a particular focus on FPS
- understand and apply the full range of federal and state securities laws and regulations governing broker-dealer, investment advisory and wealth management businesses
Requirements
- J.D with 5-8 years’ experience with a law firm or in-house legal department with a practice that focuses private markets and/or equity compensation
- Experience with the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Securities Act of 1933, and related SEC rules and regulations as they relate to private markets is strongly preferred
- Experience with corporate equity compensation plans, restricted stock, and stock options
- Experience with investment advisers and venture capital funds
- Experience with software as a service
