About the role

  • Fidelity Investments is looking to hire a legal expert in Discovery strategy and execution to join its Legal team
  • The candidate must also have practical hands-on experience and a proven track record leading Discovery teams through all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
  • The successful candidate will consult and advise on Discovery strategies, processes, and technology
  • The candidate will execute on these strategies by working directly with our attorneys and by leading teams that work internally and externally with vendors to process litigation, regulatory, and internal Discovery-related data
  • The teams that the candidate will oversee focus on reviews and productions
  • The candidate is expected to identify opportunities for improvement by leveraging case law and best practices utilized in the Legal industry and by trusted vendors
  • The successful candidate will stay abreast of discovery technical advancements and drive adoption of best practices processes and technology

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years in eDiscovery experience
  • Expert on eDiscovery best practice processes and technology
  • Experience in working with outside counsel, managed services and technology vendors
  • Hands-on experience with industry review and production tools
  • Change agent and team player
  • Decision maker/strategist who understands and leverages case law to make recommendations eDiscovery related
  • Memberships and Certifications
  • Ability and willingness to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Ability to understand business unit functions and engage Fidelity personnel in a productive and collaborative way
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to function at a high level in a dynamic and challenging work environment
