Drive Strategic Financial Decisions: own the financial strategy and operations that enable rapid, sustainable growth. Partner with the executive team and Board to drive strategic decisions that optimize growth, profitability, and capital allocation helping to ensure MRR/ARR grows quarter-over-quarter, churn stays low, and net revenue retention increases.
Lead FP&A, Forecasting, and Budgeting: delivering rolling forecasts with low variance versus actuals, aligning budgets across departments, and ensuring capital is allocated efficiently to support strategic initiatives.
Ensure Accounting Excellence and Compliance: maintaining timely reporting and audit readiness, to support high confidence decision making, maintaining a month-end close on time, achieving zero major audit findings, and ensuring full regulatory compliance, while providing timely and accurate management reporting and Board decks.
Optimize Operations and Systems: to scale efficiently, extending cash runway, maintaining a burn multiple at or below 1.5x, and implementing scalable processes and controls across the finance organization.
Lead Fundraising and Investor Relations: crafting credible financial narratives and managing diligence processes for growth equity, private equity, or prospective public investors, enabling successful capital raises and smooth M&A integrations.
Build & Mentor the Finance Team: fostering a culture of ownership, transparency, and accountability and creating a finance function capable of supporting Fiddler AI’s next stage of growth
Requirements
10+ years of experience in finance, ideally in high-growth technology companies, with strong FP&A and strategic finance expertise.
Player-coach with a builder mindset with experience creating scalable finance frameworks, systems, and processes from the ground up.
Highly collaborative, able to partner effectively with executives across functions and bring teams along on financial strategy and decisions.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a strong sense of risk awareness and the ability to make decisions under uncertainty.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing finance teams, fostering accountability, ownership, and a growth-oriented culture.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills, able to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Analytical and metrics-driven, with expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting that informs strategic decision-making.
Experience implementing and optimizing financial systems to improve efficiency, reporting, and operational control.
Track record of supporting investor relations and fundraising, ideally in AI, data, or analytics-focused companies.
Ability to work 2–3 days per week onsite in our Palo Alto office, collaborating closely with the executive team and finance function.
