About the role
- Manage fiber network projects from market definition through activation and full deployment
- Assist teams with defining and reviewing project requirements, scope, goals, and deliverables
- Support project teams through planning, execution, monitoring and controlling of each market’s build schedule; ensuring accuracy to regular forecasting cadences
- Apply and track changes control processes through the market build lifecycle
- Communicate project expectations, status, issues, and risks to team members and stakeholders, including visually representing the work and tracking progress
- Create and track meaningful metrics to determine program health and success
- Communicate market build statuses and risk mitigation plans to all levels of leadership
- Facilitate daily meetings for all parties involved in a project to ensure objectives are met
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project
- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved in a timely manner
- Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members in a positive, collaborative manner
- Oversee existing processes & policies and implement enhancements to optimize processes while delivering high-quality projects.
Requirements
- 7–10 years leading network projects in the telecommunications industry
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience in fiber construction
- Proven track record with fiber network builds and telecom infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of fiber construction processes, including permitting, fiber cutover (CX), and QA standards
- Familiarity with PMO methodologies and large-scale telecom buildouts
- Proficient in Salesforce SiteTracker for project tracking
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Extensive experience managing vendors, subcontractors, and third-party partners in telecom projects
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and provide solutions
- Collaborative team player with the ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
