About the role
- Industry specific requirement management focussed on market, customer and technology trends to develop a product portfolio (technical roadmap) for the semiconductor industry
- Definition of the specific product requirements of the semiconductor industry and ensuring implementation in the product development process
- Interface between customers, sales, development, and operations.
- Translating complex technical requirements into a comprehensible format for all stakeholders involved.
- Carrying out product launch activities together with the relevant business units and national subsidiaries
- Coordination of development projects with lead customers (SKA, FKA) and the development departments at Festo
- Identification and verification of industry-specific future trends of main customers and ensuring the transfer of information to the company
- Participation in the definition of new product concepts with a focus on specific materials, precision requirements, cleanroom suitability as well as costs and product availability
- Participation in the design and implementation of Product Competence Meetings to define new product requirements
- Representative of Festo at industry associations (SEMI) to ensure that Festo requirements are taken into account when defining new product standards
- Regular close cooperation to build, expand and maintain customer relationships with internationally networked main customers of Festo
- Occasional collaboration with representatives of associations, universities and research institutes in the course of projects, definition of guidelines/standards and innovative customer projects.
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in engineering, electrical engineering, automation, process engineering, or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in automation technology in the semiconductor industry
- Technical understanding of product requirements, ideally with experience in material, cleanroom and vacuum requirements
- Good industry, product and application knowledge in the field of automation, special product knowledge in electrical automation and control technology
- Professional management skills are an advantage
- Fluent English skills, another foreign language is an advantage
- High willingness to travel
- Part of the selection process is an assessment centre.
