About the role
- Own specification generation, design, and analysis of electrical systems for well pad facilities (well field electrical equipment, power delivery, systems, transmission, etc.)
- Drive first-principles tradeoff analysis across power delivery systems to optimize system performance
- Identify opportunities to simplify and accelerate designs while maintaining technical excellence
- Inform and support procurement efforts relating to electrical scopes of well pad designs
- Demonstrate extreme ownership by taking responsibility for cost, safety, and constructability in addition to design
- Work with urgency and resilience, embracing rapid iteration and maintaining high performance under pressure
- Collaborate closely across disciplines (process, mechanical, reservoir, drilling, construction) as well as with external partners to drive integrated solutions
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and accountability, modeling the values that define a world-class engineering team.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering on large capital projects, preferably involving upstream well sites, gathering systems, and production infrastructure
- Hands-on experience designing and commissioning medium- and high-voltage power distribution and electrical systems supporting well field operations
- Proven background integrating electrical systems into upstream facilities, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards
- Proven ability to execute design, analysis, and field support for complex electrical systems within multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong communication skills; with the ability to clearly convey technical information and collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and external partners.
