About the role

  • Assist with daily financial operations including payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger management.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, DCAA, FAR, and other federal contracting financial requirements.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare financial statements – P&L, balance sheet and cash flows
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses and documentation.
  • Partner with the CFO, Controller and Head of Accounting to analyze financial performance, identify risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop, document, and implement process improvements in financial systems (e.g., Paylocity, Deltek Costpoint, Vestwell, Employee Navigator).
  • Assist with treasury activities, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations related to financial operations.
  • Provide mentorship and subject matter expertise across the finance and HR/payroll functions as needed.
  • Interact with our parent company (Nokia) to handle intercompany reporting, reconciliation and various other matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, federal contract compliance, and DCAA regulations.
  • Strong PC Skills; Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Deltek Costpoint ERP system.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex reconciliations, payroll integrations, and benefits accounting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
