About the role
- Champion the direct sales effort in assigned territory.
- Generate direct sales and develop customers within specified territory.
- Meet new business unit volume objectives.
- Achieve product certification as required.
- Train customers and other personnel in the company's product line.
- Attend Right Start training events quarterly.
- Attend sales meetings as needed.
- Attend, coordinate and participate in regional and national trade shows.
- Recommend new product changes as well as other new product ideas.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM logging, daily contacts, account contact and asset information, and sales opportunities.
- Supply monthly and rolling 90-day New Business forecast based on customer interaction and CRM data.
- Track customer presentations, demonstrations, and training events in CRM monthly.
- Submit expense report on a timely basis.
- Assist with the development of competitive manufacturer's profiles and report their activity to product management.
- Ensure that all business conducted in the region is consistent with the company's mission statement and standard policies and procedures (SPP).
- Complete other assignments as required.
- Extensive travel required – 75%.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required; Bachelor's degree or applicable technical certification/experience preferred
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Effective communication style is required
- High degree of motivation and initiative required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Sound decision-making skills required
