About the role
- Help deliver product stories that align with FCC priorities
- Focus on driving adoption of the modern data platform
- Support the wider data community
- Work within a collaborative team that provides FCC’s data users with access to the right tools, technology and data through AWS
- Manage AWS resources, ingest new data, provision access and enhance the efficiency and stability of data pipelines
- Design and deliver hands-on training sessions, develop and update materials, and lead training activities as needed
Requirements
- A degree in computer science or software engineering
- Minimum two years of experience in software engineering practices (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience with data engineering tools, platforms and approaches
- Experience building infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation)
- Functional programming experience
- Experience with data modelling, data warehouse building and creating data access layer
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies and concepts
- Ability to map legacy tools and technologies to modern AWS solutions
- Experience with Informatica or any ETL tool
- Experience with data observability and tools like DataHUB
- Experience with Data Vault 2.0
