About the role
- Focuses on managing and further developing relationships, unique sales strategies as a direct partner to key accounts.
- Brings a data-driven, storytelling approach to understanding customer opportunities and objectives.
- Contributes to the creation and execution of integrated marketplace plans with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain.
- Drives new business growth through selling solutions to team shops and accounts.
- Researches and understands the customer base - business goals, objectives, and challenges.
- Owns operations update meetings internally with all proper stakeholders.
- Proposes solutions to deliver quantifiable business value through integrated relationships.
- Works closely with sales operations team to analyze weekly POS for key accounts.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the licensed sports industry at revenue level of $3M.
- Direct experience as an account manager in licensed sports at mass/mid/SG retailers.
- Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships that resulted in sales growth.
- Must be able to maintain effective internal relationships to facilitate sales.
- Proven track record of identifying growth opportunities that resulted in sales growth.
- Demonstrated management skills.
- Demonstrated passion for professional or college sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc).
- Strong strategic selling skills.
- Strong analytical skills to be able to understand and interpret account financials.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Intermediate computer skills to include Excel and Word.
