About the role
- Own end-to-end product development for new and emerging financial services products, from early discovery and validation through launch and iteration.
- Translate high-level company and Financial Services strategy into concrete product visions, roadmaps, and execution plans.
- Define success metrics and be accountable for KPIs related to adoption, engagement, trust, and operational performance.
- Identify and validate customer problems, balancing fan experience, regulatory requirements, and business goals.
- Leverage the broader Fanatics ecosystem (commerce, loyalty, content, betting, and fandom) to create differentiated, cross-platform financial experiences.
- Lead teams through ambiguous problem spaces with a strong bias toward action and delivery.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and Operations to ship high-quality, scalable products.
- Drive rigorous product discovery, prioritization, and execution using customer insights, experimentation, and analytics.
- Ensure all product solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards, including KYC/AML, consumer protection, and data privacy.
- Continuously improve product quality by reducing friction, failure rates, and operational burden.
- Serve as a primary product partner to Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams.
- Clearly communicate product direction, tradeoffs, and progress to senior leaders.
- Align dependencies and roadmaps across Fanatics teams to enable efficient execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive product management experience, including people leadership, in consumer fintech, financial services, payments, or other regulated digital products.
- Demonstrated success building and launching zero-to-one products in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Strong execution mindset with a track record of shipping products that deliver measurable customer and business impact.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations in financial product development, with experience partnering closely with legal and compliance teams.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making, including defining KPIs, running experiments, and iterating based on results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex problems and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort operating at the Director level within a high-growth organization — setting direction, making tradeoffs, and driving outcomes.
