About the role
- Drive design for gamified experiences in the Fanatics App
- Create detailed user flows, wireframes, etc., communicating UX clearly to relevant teams.
- Clearly articulate the rationale behind your design choices and field feedback from your peers and stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration efforts like workshops & design sprints to generate and evaluate creative solutions.
- Write and maintain UX documentation including usage guidelines and best practices.
- Capture and think through logical/implementable solutions for edge-cases and unhappy paths.
- Provide prototypes/deliverables to describe interactions and motion, using Figma.
- Work with Product Managers and Software Engineers to discover, refine, develop, and ship features.
- Prototype user experiences and work with your UX Research team to coordinate and run qualitative and quantitative studies.
- Offer efficient iteration based on feedback from internal stakeholders and UX research study results.
- Track the impact of your work via user feedback and data insights to help the team identify opportunities for continued iteration.
- Maintain cohesion throughout the Fanatics App by attending design team studio hours and supporting the work of your fellow experience enthusiasts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience creating and delivering products on a cross-functional team across a range of surfaces.
- Experience with entertainment/media products, and gamification is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong portfolio that showcases your work, provides details of your role on projects, and shows examples of products and systems that you have developed from start to finish.
- Excellent cross-functional partner.
- Understand frontend code, its limitations, and its capabilities at a high level.
- Degree of business literacy that empowers you to work effectively with your product partners.
- Curious, staying tuned with the latest product development practices.
- Teacher, guiding others on best practices and latest techniques.
- Proficient prototyper, making time to upskill continuously on emergent tools and techniques, especially Figma.
- Nice to have: experience conducting accessibility evaluations of components and/or page-level designs, excellent knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and a track record of advocating for accessibility improvements and prioritization.
- Genuine passion for sports and understanding of sports fan culture is a significant plus.
