About the role
- Conduct intakes and assessments of individuals and families.
- Provide individual and family counseling.
- Co-facilitate library groups.
- Assist in linking eligible clients with public benefits and assist clients with applying.
- Provide linkage to more intensive mental health services.
- Provide referrals to higher levels of care.
- Provide crisis intervention, when needed.
- Document client contacts accurately and timely.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field required.
- Two years of relevant clinical experience required.
- At least one year of prior experience working with individuals with mental illness and their families required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources is also required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and referral processing required.
- Must be able to perform suicide risk assessments and provide short term counseling.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
