About the role

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage lease accounting, including ROU assets and lease liability calculations (ASC 842).
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure proper accounting for new lease agreements and asset acquisitions.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with multi-state sales tax regulations.
  • Work with operations to maintain accurate sales tax reporting and filings.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
  • Support external audits and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 5–7+ years of corporate accounting experience with proven ability to work independently and take ownership of key accounting processes.
  • Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed assets strongly preferred.
