Chief of Staff

• Assist the President and CEO in managing day-to-day operations of the organization and strategically allocating time.
• Work with the President and CEO’s executive assistant to ensure his calendar, engagements, travel, and preparation reflect organizational priorities and are appropriately sequenced and advanced.
• Facilitate communication among the senior leadership to promote collaboration, coordination, integration, and productivity across the organization.
• Partner closely with the President and CEO to shape priorities, anticipate challenges, and support effective leadership across the team.
• Work closely with the President and CEO to design and facilitate effective leadership team and senior leadership team meetings that reinforce shared goals, trust, and disciplined execution.
• Manage the planning, preparation, and execution of FLA Board of Directors meetings, including coordinating with all teams on calendar of deadlines, written materials to be provided to the board, content of meetings, communications about meetings, and identification of special guests.
• Partner with the Board Liaison to provide strategic direction and coordination for board and committee relations, ensuring alignment among governance engagement, organizational priorities, and the President and CEO’s agenda.
• Ensure decisions, context, and follow‑up are communicated clearly, reducing ambiguity and duplication, including the successful communication of institution-wide projects to staff and stakeholders.
• Represent the FLA in external meetings.
• Set clear priorities, workflows, and quality standards for the executive office to ensure consistent excellence in interaction between the office and the rest of the organization and key external stakeholders.
• Plan and direct the operations, staffing, and budget for the executive office.

Vice President

• Reporting to the President and CEO and serving as a member of FLA’s Senior Leadership Team.
• Oversees Fair Labor Investigations (FLI) to ensure FLA’s standards are implemented in member companies’ and university licensees’ supply chains.
• Engages stakeholders proactively and effectively on issues that are important to them.
• Manages engagement with workers, unions, and civil society organizations regarding investigations.
