About the role
- Support the development and day-to-day management of FAI’s Insite software applications (including assessment, reporting, and data collection tools)
- Provide day-to-day customer support through Zendesk, helping users use the platform effectively and escalating issues when needed
- Translate user and client needs into clear product requirements and software specifications
- Create basic wireframes, workflows, or design concepts to support development discussions
- Work closely with software developers to follow up on development progress, clarify requirements, and support testing
- Coordinate feature updates, improvements, and bug fixes across assigned applications
- Support user onboarding and training, including running demos or walkthroughs of the platform
- Produce and maintain product documentation, including specifications, user guides, and support materials
- Help gather and prioritise user feedback to inform continuous product improvement
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in a product, project, or software-related role (or equivalent)
- Experience writing software requirements and specifications
- Previous experience providing product support or working in roles involving user feedback, issue triage, or continuous improvement
- Comfortable working with developers and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience creating wireframes and product designs (using any suitable tools)
- A self-starter comfortable with working effectively in a remote, distributed team
- Self-motivated and autonomous with effective time management abilities
- Excellent organisational skills and able to deliver quality work on time for multiple, simultaneous projects
- Excellent communicator with strong and verbal and written communication skills
- Background or interest in agriculture, sustainability, auditing, or certification schemes (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working on B2B software platforms (desirable but not essential)
- Experience with project / sprint management tools (Click-up, Jira) (desirable but not essential)
- Experience with design tool Figma (desirable but not essential)
- Familiarity with audit, assessment, reporting, or data-driven tools (desirable but not essential)
