Product Manager

• Support the development and day-to-day management of FAI’s Insite software applications (including assessment, reporting, and data collection tools)
• Provide day-to-day customer support through Zendesk, helping users use the platform effectively and escalating issues when needed
• Translate user and client needs into clear product requirements and software specifications
• Create basic wireframes, workflows, or design concepts to support development discussions
• Work closely with software developers to follow up on development progress, clarify requirements, and support testing
• Coordinate feature updates, improvements, and bug fixes across assigned applications
• Support user onboarding and training, including running demos or walkthroughs of the platform
• Produce and maintain product documentation, including specifications, user guides, and support materials
• Help gather and prioritise user feedback to inform continuous product improvement

• Prepare and configure IoT kits (routers, gateways, sensors, etc.)
• Basic assembly of enclosures & product kits
• Hardware testing, quality assurance, troubleshooting issues

• Plan installation timelines and coordinate field deployments
• Onsite visits to farms for pre-install surveys and post-install follow-ups

• Support the Aquaculture Welfare Project in Brazil, working with farms and partner companies
• Collaborate with the Program Manager and other consultants to deliver training and capacity building
• Implement the Tilapia Welfare Assessment protocol
• Conduct on-farm welfare assessments
• Assess project partners against certification standards such as Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC)
• Support FAI's R&D activities with partners
• Produce technical briefings, literature reviews, case studies, and reports
• Provide recommendations for improvement actions
• Validate and analyze assessment data
• Prepare reports using FAI's data tools
• Monitor partners' implementation of welfare practices
• Review activities and support planning
• Produce content for stakeholder engagement
• Attend meetings and take minutes
• Support the development and testing of FAI's digital solutions
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the aquaculture welfare project
