About the role

  • Design, develop and optimize highly complex queries in SQL Server, ensuring maximum performance and scalability;
  • Create, review and maintain stored procedures, functions, triggers, views and packages, applying best practices in architecture and coding;
  • Lead the design and modeling of relational databases, defining table structures, indexes, relationships and naming standards;
  • Perform advanced query tuning, execution plan analysis and optimizations for high-volume, high-concurrency environments;
  • Define and implement advanced strategies for indexing, partitioning and data distribution;
  • Develop PL/SQL scripts and automations for large-scale data integration, migration and processing;
  • Design, implement and manage jobs and schedulers for critical batch processing routines;
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, availability and security, including permission management and auditing;
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation of implemented solutions and processes;
  • Act as a technical reference for other developers, supporting code reviews and data architecture decisions;
  • Work closely with development, architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient integration between applications and databases.

Requirements

  • Proven advanced experience with SQL Server in mission-critical environments;
  • Proficiency in T-SQL and code optimization techniques for high performance;
  • Strong knowledge of relational data modeling, normalization and data governance practices;
  • Consistent experience creating and optimizing complex stored procedures, functions, triggers and views;
  • Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, partitioning and analyzing data access bottlenecks;
  • Experience with ETL, mass processing and handling large volumes of data;
  • Deep knowledge of database security, access control and protection of sensitive data;
  • Experience with transaction management and concurrency, applying patterns for high availability;
  • Familiarity with monitoring and performance analysis tools;
  • Experience versioning scripts (Git, SVN, etc.).
  • **Differentials:**
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database or other cloud platforms;
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SSIS, SSRS and integration with analytical solutions;
  • Experience with NoSQL, Big Data and Data Warehousing;
