About the role
- Take ownership of AI product development within the News team, acting as the key decision-maker and advocate for product development, feature prioritization, and roadmap alignment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define user stories, and ensure alignment with FactSet's overall product vision and strategy.
- Drive the agile product development process, working closely with development teams to define and prioritize product backlogs, manage sprints, and ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with business goals and client feedback.
- Continuously improve content quality by analyzing the content (e.g., reviewing QA changes), updating quality tools, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving them to completion.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user feedback analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
- Communicate product updates, progress, and roadmap changes to internal stakeholders, including leadership, sales, marketing, and customer support teams, ensuring alignment across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years of experience in product management or related roles, preferably in financial technology or analytics
- Deep knowledge and expertise related to news and filings content, how it is collected and processed, and how it is used by clients in FactSet products
- An understanding of the financial industry and investment management landscape
- Strong content/product management experience
- Knowledge of off-platform delivery methods for unstructured content
- Experience in Product Development best practices, including Agile development, User Stories and Acceptance criteria, and product release best practices
- Familiarity with AI technologies, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics
- Strong track record of meeting desired deadlines and product milestones
- Good understanding of metadata and tagging
- Ability to skillfully interact directly with vendors and clients
- Familiarity with real-time data requirements
- Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams
- Ability to effectively prioritize competing projects
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills; experience making data-driven decisions
