About the role

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across entities in the U.S., U.K., and Poland.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables.
  • Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across all entities and systems.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and eliminations, and oversee month-end consolidation.
  • Provide regular financial reporting and commentary for the CFO and executive team.
  • Own the company’s cash flow forecasting process, ensuring visibility into short- and long-term liquidity needs.
  • Monitor global cash balances and manage intercompany cash flows and settlements.
  • Partner with leadership to optimize working capital, banking structures, and treasury processes.
  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts and cash management dashboards.
  • Identify and anticipate funding needs and support decision-making with accurate projections.
  • Lead annual statutory audits for the U.K. and Poland and coordinate the consolidated U.S. audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax, and statutory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions.
  • Strengthen internal controls and standardize accounting policies across regions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3–4 accounting professionals.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient accounting operations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage Sage Intacct for financial reporting, consolidation, and process automation.
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting and reporting workflows.
  • Maintain clear documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation accounting.
  • Experience managing statutory audits and working with external auditors.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct (or similar ERP system).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow and forecasting in a multi-entity environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
