About the role

  • Design, build, and operate scalable backend and infrastructure systems
  • Develop and maintain services that support real-time and batch data processing
  • Contribute to core platform components (compute, storage, orchestration, and tooling)
  • Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across services and workflows
  • Collaborate with data and ML teams to support data ingestion, processing, and production use cases
  • Optimize systems for scalability, cost, and efficiency in cloud environments
  • Build internal tools and abstractions that improve developer velocity and system consistency
  • Contribute to secure and compliant infrastructure design

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering
  • Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
  • Familiarity with real-time or batch data processing systems (e.g., Kafka, Spark, or similar technologies)
  • Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability principles
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and distributed storage systems
  • Ability to work across the stack and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment with high ownership
