About the role
- Lead design, development, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using industry-leading tools
- Architect and implement robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for scalable, secure on-prem and cloud environments
- Drive automation of provisioning, deployment, testing, and monitoring leveraging scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Develop and manage containerized applications and orchestrate workloads with Docker and Kubernetes
- Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to optimize infrastructure performance, resilience, and cost
- Implement and support continuous monitoring, logging, and alerting utilizing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry (OTEL)
- Apply configuration management solutions (Ansible or other - Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack)
- Champion DevSecOps practices by integrating security into all automated pipelines and infrastructure
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex deployment, infrastructure, and system issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineering, QA, product management, security, and IT operations throughout agile, cross-disciplinary teams
- Establish and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation including procedures, runbooks, technical solutions to support team knowledge and operational excellence
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership to DevOps engineers and advocate for best practices across engineering teams
- Drive process improvements, evaluate emerging technologies, and contribute to strategic DevOps roadmaps.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting production systems in DevOps or cloud engineering roles (minimum 5 years with direct DevOps focus)
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code: (Terraform/OpenTofu, AWS CloudFormation)
- Advanced scripting abilities using Python and Bash/Shell
- Extensive experience with containers (Docker, Podman) and Kubernetes orchestration
- Strong expertise across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging stacks: Prometheus/Grafana, OTEL
- Proven track record with configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack
- Skilled in Git version control and workflows (GitHub, GitLab)
- Advanced infrastructure security skills with hands-on expertise in tools such as Hashicorp Vault, Semgrep, and integrated CI/CD pipeline security
- Experience with artifact management (Artifactory, Docker Registry)
- Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills in cloud, container, and distributed system environments
- Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation capabilities
- Demonstrated success working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities such as mentoring, technical guidance, and best practices advocacy.
