About the role
- Reporting to the Director of the Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation Division of the FQM, and working closely with members of the asset management team, you will plan, organize and oversee various activities related to municipal asset management, notably for roadway, sewer, drinking water and building infrastructure.
- Develop, structure and produce intervention plans as well as strategic planning tools designed to support prioritization and optimization of municipal investments.
- Provide technical and professional support in asset management and provide required opinions/recommendations;
- Prepare and update intervention plans for sewers, drinking water and roadways, including Local Road Infrastructure Intervention Plans (PIIRL), ensuring their technical quality, consistency and compliance with the requirements of current programs;
- Prepare asset management plans for water infrastructure (PGA-eau) and participate in initiatives related to the Quebec Drinking Water Savings Strategy (SQEEP);
- Prepare asset management plans for buildings (an asset);
- Coordinate and carry out all activities related to updating databases and ensure their quality;
- Prepare capital planning/programming for municipal infrastructures;
- Plan and manage calls for tenders related to asset management;
- Other tasks related to the role and your area of expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water engineering, construction engineering or building engineering. Other relevant education or experience may be considered equivalent;
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset);
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in asset management;
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite;
- Team player;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Results-oriented, customer service focused and committed to maintaining service quality.
