About the role

  • Act as the Nordic Lead for Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), reviewing and providing strategic and operational legal advice on new systems, tools and processing activities
  • Actively supporting and guiding business stakeholders in the completion of relevant GDPR documentation, including Records of Processing Activities and DPIA’s
  • Leading a broad range of privacy initiatives, including implementing, monitoring and enforcing EY’s Data Protection framework, policies and Binding Corporate Rules across the Nordics
  • Maintain close and continuous collaboration with global and regional data protection counsels to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing and alignment across jurisdictions.
  • Ensure that Privacy by Design and by Default principles are embedded into business processes, digital initiatives and technology development
  • Providing legal support on data breaches, data subject requests and other complex privacy matters
  • Deliver training, guidance and awareness activities to strengthen privacy maturity across the Nordic organization

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 6-7 years of experience working with Data Privacy, preferably from an in-house role, law firm or regulatory authority, operating across multiple jurisdictions
  • Substantial hands-on experience advising on GDPR and Nordic data protection laws in a multinational environment
  • Attention to detail and strong legal drafting skills that can be used in a commercial setting with business stakeholders, as well as in public setting with data subjects and data protection authorities
  • Experience with privacy risk assessments, data breaches and privacy governance frameworks
  • Relevant certifications, e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, AIGP or similar
  • Experience of projects in the AI & digitalization space.
