About the role
- Responsible for implementing and managing firewall and network sensing solutions to protect client networks from cyber threats.
- Work within a team of cybersecurity professionals to ensure effective security measures are in place.
- Deploy, configure, and manage firewall and network sensing solutions to maintain optimal performance and security.
- Actively monitor network traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall network security posture, complying with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance requirements.
- Provide support for security audits and assessments, promoting adherence to security standards and policies.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to enhance organization's security posture.
- Assist in development and implementation of security awareness training for staff regarding firewall operations and network security best practices.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on firewall management and incident response processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in network security operations, with a focus on firewall management.
- Strong experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewall technologies
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Experience with technologies such as Checkpoint and Tufin
- Experience with security monitoring tools such as Splunk and familiarity with network visibility solutions like Netography.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
